If you are looking to become a volunteer for our project, you have come to the right place!
By joining our team, you will have access to free training courses to gain expertise in energy saving, thermal imaging and how to tackle fuel poverty.
You will be then working alongside other volunteers doing:
- Home Energy Advice visits and Thermal imaging surveys
- Assisting on the New Forest HEAT Project's stand at local markets and events
You will always be with at least one other experienced volunteer at any project event or activity.
After participating in the Project's induction session, you will be able to access our training courses, which are principally provided by the NEA (National Energy Action) and cover energy efficiency, fuel poverty, and renewable technologies, along with a module on helping people to change energy-related behaviours. Several courses are C&G accredited.
We also run several in-house Thermal imaging training sessions throughout the winter to teach volunteers how to use thermal imaging cameras.
For insurance purposes, all volunteers are required to do a Basic DBS check, which will be paid for by the Project.
If joining our team is of interest to you, then please do get in touch with us by completing the form below.
