Request a Thermal Imaging Survey

For residents in the New Forest District Council area, thermal imaging surveys are being provided free of charge until March 31st 2025. If you wish to book a survey, please read the information below and fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

For residents outside of the New Forest District Council area, you are also very welcome to have a survey, and to book this, please go to the Schools Energy Project website.

Do you want to keep your home warmer this winter and save money on your fuel bills?

Book yourself a thermal-imaging survey by one of our team, to help identify where heat (and your money!) is escaping from your home and where cold is getting in.

You will get pictures like these to help you pinpoint exactly where to make improvements (the white areas show where the heat is leaking out).

To make the best use of the time during the survey and to help us identify and assess problem areas, we will send you a pre-visit questionnaire to complete.  We also find that most householders prefer us to survey their home both internally and externally so places where the cold is getting in or the heat is leaking out are clearly identified. We are happy to wear face masks if you request us to do so.  If you do not want the inside of your home surveyed, please let us know when returning your questionnaire.

Please note that we can not carry out thermal imaging surveys unless the weather is cold.  If the weather is currently mild, please submit your request for a survey anyway and we will put you on our waiting list.  Then, once we get cooler weather, we will carry out surveys in the order in which they’ve been requested.

Typically, after March 1^st, it starts to get much more difficult to carry out surveys because the weather usually becomes milder.  You are very welcome to send in a request for a survey after this date. However, we hope you will understand that we may have to put you on our waiting list for next season.
